The Annual Native Fine Arts Holiday Market showcases a wide array of handcrafted artwork made by Native artists from across the country - a wonderful opportunity to find unique gifts for friends and family. Throughout the weekend, artist demonstrations will be held at the museum next door at the market. Come learn about traditional art techniques, resources, and material culture with demonstrations by native artists.
Participating artists include:
Cyndee Fox-Starr (Omaha/Odawa/Arikara): beadwork, moccasins, ribbon skirts/shirts
Mary J Holat (Sault Ste Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians): Spirit people, small bowls/plates
Nelson Garcia (Santo Domingo): metal and stone jewelry
Sam Begay (Navajo): quillwork, jewelry, beading, clothing, blankets
