Traveling Resources
Traveling Resources
The Mitchell Museum strives to go beyond our four walls as we work to enhance American Indian experiences and voices.

INDIGE-FACTS
It is common for people to have questions about the lives and experiences of Native peoples. Still, knowing where to find answers or who to ask can be challenging. That is why the Mitchell Museum has set out to share information about Native Americans with the public through Indige-Facts, our new traveling exhibit!

Educational Loan Box Program
Our loan box program was initially created to give teachers extra resources to provide accurate information about American Indian cultures. Since then, we have opened up to this program to home school groups and parents looking for at-home, hands-on learning. Our boxes include educational materials and artifacts related to the different regional groups included in our on-going “Regional Tour of American Indian Cultures.”

Speaker Request
Speaker requests can be made by individuals or companies looking for a unique experience that is focused on several different aspects of American Indians and their experiences.
*Due to Covid-19, we are only doing virtual presentations.
